When Smule introduced “Live Jam” in 2018, three complete strangers started to meet each other almost every day in a common Live Jam session and enjoyed singing. This brought them closer day by day and what started as an acquaintance progressed to the next level of networking. After several days of “Live Jamming”, talking about music and common interests, they decided to meet along with a few other friends they made in Smule.
The first meet-up that happened in early March 2019 brought them closer and there were several interesting conversations that they shared during this time. One of the ideas that they discussed was about conducting a “Live Jam Singing Contest” in Smule, a thought never implemented by anyone at that time in India. To take this further, they came up with the thought of forming a Smule group with likeminded people interested in music / singing. This is how “SHADES OFFICIAL” was formed by three strangers who met through Smule but became “friends for life” with a common goal & vision!
